The updated third edition of the Conners’ Rating Scales sets a new standard for assessing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and related learning, behavior, and emotional problems in children and teens. The Conners 3 combines teacher, parent, and student reports to provide a particularly detailed and comprehensive evaluation of student behavior. WOODCOCK JOHNSON III

The Woodcock-Johnson III NU contains two distinct, co-normed batteries: the WJ III NU Tests of Achievement and the WJ III NU Tests of Cognitive Abilities. Both batteries are appropriate for ages 2 to 90+, and together provide a comprehensive system for measuring general intellectual ability (g), specific cognitive abilities, scholastic aptitude, oral language, and achievement.

The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is legislation that defines the terms under which students may be declared eligible for special services. IDEA defines learning disability as a severe discrepancy between intellectual ability and achievement in one or more areas.

WECHSLER  INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT TEST (WIAT)

The WIAT is suitable for use in a variety of clinical, educational, and research settings, including schools, clinics, private practices, and residential treatment facilities. Use WIAT results to:

  • Identify the academic strengths and weaknesses of a student
  • Inform decisions regarding eligibility for educational services, educational placement, or diagnosis of a specific learning disability
  • Design instructional objectives and plan interventions

Parents have the legal right to get an independent evaluation if they disagree with any other evaluations completed with their child in the past.
